  3D PRINT LAB

Procedures of using the 3D Printers:

  1. Create a 3D model with closed surfaces (aka a solid form)

    1. Command 'volume'

  2. Export it from your program (probably Rhino) as an .STL file

  3. Bring that file into the Makerbot software (available as a free download from their website)

  4. Rescale model accordingly in Makerbot

  5. Export to print file

  6. Save to thumbdrive

  7. Insert thumbdrive into machine and go to ‘Print’ on Main Menu
